Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are specialists in movement and rehabilitation. We help people of all ages recover from injury, reduce pain and improve their physical wellbeing. Using a combination of hands-on treatment, tailored exercise, education and rehabilitation planning, we aim to regain movement, improve strength and support a return to everyday activities, work or sport.

Musculoskeletal conditions we treat vary from joint and soft tissue injuries to mobility and posture-related issues. Whether your symptoms are the result of a sudden injury, menopause, long-term conditions, or post-op recovery, physiotherapy can help you get back to doing the things you enjoy.

Pelvic health

As a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, I support women experiencing bladder and pelvic floor symptoms with evidence-based, compassionate care in a calm and confidential environment. Treatment is tailored to you and may help with stress urinary incontinence (leaking with coughing, sneezing or exercise), urge incontinence and overactive bladder symptoms including urgency and frequency, as well as pelvic organ prolapse and feelings of heaviness or pressure. Through detailed assessment, education, pelvic floor rehabilitation and personalised treatment plans.

Scar therapy

Scar therapy can help improve the mobility, comfort and appearance of scars following surgery, birth, injury or trauma. Scar tissue can cause tightness, sensitivity, pain, reduced movement or feelings of pulling and restriction within the surrounding tissues. Using gentle hands-on techniques, soft tissue therapy and movement-based rehabilitation, treatment aims to support tissue healing, improve mobility and reduce discomfort. Scar therapy may be beneficial following caesarean birth, mastectomies, abdominal or gynaecological surgery, and other surgical or traumatic scars. Each treatment is tailored to your individual symptoms, goals and stage of healing.

Accupuncture

Acupuncture and dry needling can be used alongside physiotherapy treatment to help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension and support recovery. These techniques involve the use of fine sterile needles to target specific muscles and tissues, helping to improve movement, ease discomfort and promote relaxation. Treatment may be beneficial for muscular pain, tension, headaches, persistent pain, and menopause symptoms and is always tailored to your individual needs and comfort levels.

Pre & Post natal

Pre and postnatal physiotherapy provides support throughout pregnancy and recovery after birth, helping you stay comfortable, active and confident as your body changes. Treatment may help with pregnancy-related back or pelvic pain, abdominal muscle separation, pelvic floor dysfunction, bladder symptoms and postnatal recovery following vaginal or caesarean birth. Care is tailored to your individual stage of pregnancy or recovery, with a focus on education, rehabilitation, movement and helping you return safely to the activities that matter to you.

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage can help relieve muscular tension, reduce pain and improve movement by targeting deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Often used alongside physiotherapy treatment, it may be beneficial for persistent tightness, postural aches, sports-related tension and recovery from injury. Treatment is tailored to your individual needs and aims to help ease discomfort, improve mobility and support overall physical wellbeing.
